Despite the late trend that took place in the industry, Sony remains confident. When almost all the leading manufacturers in the field of photography released DSLR cameras (digital single-lens reflex) video recording capability, the new Sony innovation brings. Call it the Nikon D90 and Canon 5DMKII. The first two cameras are pinned on this video recording capability has emerged since 2008. The next is following T1i Canon Rebel (500D), Nikon D5000, Panasonic GH1, and Pentax-K7 in first half of 2009. In fact, this year, Canon released the EOS 550D is touted as one of five DSLR cameras with video recording features which is the best cameras. Meanwhile, Sony has new precisely similar products this year. Sony Alpha SLT-A33 comes with 14.2 megapixel resolution as the video record featured digital SLR camera offering. Following Sony Alpha SLT-A55 with greater resolution, which is 16.2 megapixels on September ahead. However, in its newest product will be released in October, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A560, just a lot of lost ground in terms of features and technology. Sensor resolution is unchanged equal to the SLT-A33, which is 14.2 megapixels. In fact, the viewfinder on DSLR-A560 back to the optical range of 95 percent, compared to the SLT-A33 viewfinder is electronic and reaching 100 percent of the objects taken. To snap a maximum speed continuously (continuous shooting) was also normal, only 3fps (frames per second), compared to the SLT-A33 can be reached 6fps.
Sony proves that optical storage media is still far from retirement. Although Blu-ray is difficult to penetrate markets dominated by the DVD format, according to the Examiner reports, Sony is now working on next-generation optical media. In collaboration with researchers from Tohoku University, Japan, Sony has developed a blue violet laser ultra fast semiconductor which allows for 1 terabyte of data, equivalent to 1000 Gigabyte stored on optical media piece. As an illustration, a single chip data disc is able to accommodate as many as 106 pieces of dual layer DVD. Optical technology that uses blue violet laser can generate new types of pulses or shots within a matter of pico seconds or equal to one per one trillion seconds. In addition, laser semiconductor and optical amplifiers semiconductor also allow new power up to 100 watts output. A hundred times more compared with conventional semiconductor laser shots. For information, April and Blu-ray Disc Association announced improvements in technology formats including Blu-ray disc capable of storing up to 128GB. However, less than a month later, researchers from the University of Tokyo claim to have found a new cheap and easy material to manufacture which is capable for storing up to 25TB in a piece of the disc.
After Panasonic and Olympus cameras launched their Micro Four Third camera and so did Sony launched its camera NEX series, now Canon also did not want to lose that they will launch a similar camera in the near future. Although it is not sure whether this camera will have the same technology or not with a competitor (mirrorless) but Canon promises a small compact camera with a similar or almost the same quality with a DSLR. Agree with Canon statement, we as consumers do not care that it wears glasses or not, importantly we want to have a small compact camera with equivalent quality and equivalent price with DSLR digital cameras made in China.
TransferJet technology from Sony that we have discussed is likely to be trend in the near future. USB IO Data TransferJet (USB2-TJC) is one tool that will support the TransferJet technology and can be used for computer based Windows / Mac via USB connection. As a reminder, TransferJet technology allows us to transfer data from one gadget to another gadget up to 560 Mbps speeds without having to set everything. TransferJet is also safe because for the exchange of data between the gadgets can only be done if the distance between gadgets no more than 3 cm. Finally, there are at least Sony Memory Stick technology with TransferJet technology that we can use with this one tool to facilitate the transfer data from the memory card into the computer.
