Intel Corporation today announced a dozen new netbook models that use dual core mobile processor Intel Atom, is already available on the market. These products represent the output netbook manufacturers such as Acer, Asus, Fujitsu, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, MSI, and Toshiba. Currently, according to Intel data, approximately eight million netbooks sent to market every four month. The netbook category has been experiencing rapid growth since the launch of its inaugural, April 2008 then, Intel has marketed approximately 70 million Atom chips. Atom Netbook market has been using the latest dual core Intel Atom processor N550. With this processor, consumers can enjoy a more responsive Internet access using the same product, the same compact and energy efficient of Atom N450 notebook.
Manli is known for its graphic card and motherboard. Now Manli try to enter netbook arena by producing Manli netbook iiiM3. This netbook weigh about 1 kg, with Intel Atom N270, 160GB SATA harddisk, 10.2″ WSVGA screen. Manli M3 also has fingerprint sensor for security system and empty slot for HSDPA (3,5G) modem. Card Reader slot is also available for SD, MMC and MS memory card.
Nokia, cooperating with Quanta Computer Inc and Compal Computer Inc will launch Nokia Netbook Atom. Nokia Netbook from Quanta will use Intel Atom proccessor. While Nokia smartbooks made by Compal will be using Qualcomm Snapdragon platform. The platform consists of 1GHz processor, integrated 3G mobile broadband, WiFi and Bluetooth, GPS, and high definition video graphic with 1280×780 resolution. Looks like Nokia is serious in entering computer industries.
