Finally, the open operating system by Google, Android mobile platform is now the most popular in the U.S. smart phone market. For the first time defeating the Android platform to BlackBerry and the iPhone, and dominate 34 percent of smart phones sold in the U.S., in the second quarter of this year. There are about 4.99 million Android phones sold from the total of 14.7 million smart phone units sold in the quarter. In the meantime, the Research In Motion sold 32.1 percent and Apple is only able to take 21.7 percent of total smart phone sales in the U.S. The United States is the world smart phone market, a volume equivalent to 23 percent of smart phone shipments worldwide, in the second quarter. In the U.S., Android grew 851 percent and become the largest platform. Meanwhile, the annual growth of smart phones around the world in quarter two is to reach 64 percent. Android growth at the global level is also no less fascinating, almost touching the figure 900 percent or more precisely 886 percent. This growth was reinforced by the emergence of many Android handsets are supported by various vendors, such as HTC, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and LG. Meanwhile, BlackBerry by RIM grew 41 percent, because of the strong sales of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 Gemini. The same growth experienced by Nokia that is equal to 41 percent, which managed to ship 23.8 million units of mobile phones worldwide that are supported by strong sales of the Nokia XpressMusic 5230 mobile phone. With this growth is still Nokia still controlled 38 percent of the smart phone market share worldwide.
Well done, finally we’ve not waited too long for the newest iPhone. The shape of its body is same with the predecessor. It features video calling with additional camera at the front side. One more, it is useful enough or not, one on one iPhone user can use video calling by wi-fi connection that means free of charge but surely it is in limit range. The resolution promises a quality 4 times better than iPhone 3Gs. By using OS version 4, now iPhone can do multitasking program without open close application. And last but not least, this is one thing that makes people feel peevish is the price. iPhone 4 is sold US$ 199 for 16GB and US$ 299 for 32 GB and it has to be with agreement for 2 years.

After Google announce Google TV, Apple also prepares for the Apple TV (ATV). According to the reliable source, the truth is Apple has this plan about the Apple TV early than Google. There is still no any details given but the rumors it is the same with iPhone attached to the TV which plays movie with 1080p resolution. The ATV uses same processor with iPhone, A4 CPU, internal memory 16 GB and also Cloud Storage. The ATV is also an additional option to connect to external hard disc. The interface itself will look iPhone OS alike but certainly there is a different where ATV will focus on the function in watching comfortability. The ATV will be sold for about $99. It looks like too god too be true. Well, we’ll see it until it real comes to us.

Worlwide Developer Conference (WDC) is held on 7 June 2010. Probably, Steve Jobs, Chief Executive Officer Apple will introduce us the newest Apple gadget called iPhone 4G in the conference. If we saw the success of all Apple smartphone, there will be a chance that the 4th generation product is also success. But, the competition is more crucial although the product is completed with newest microprocessor, high output graphic accelerator, mass storage capacity, two high resolution camera for recording and video call, and also the challenge of android smartphone. Besides, there is still Nokia which is still the biggest smartphone producer now, will present the product Meego based. Microsoft and their partners will release cellphone with Windows Phone 7 based in recent days. Maybe, iPhone 4.0 will make Apple leading in any ways and get the best opportunity ever. But the competitor, android will also take a chance next days. We’ll see it.
